Its simple to tag someone on Y99. Tagging a user tells the other user you have directed that specific message towards them and encourages them to promptly reply. Every tagged user sees their own nickname in blue color while you & everyone else will continue to see it normally. This has been implemented intentionally to draw attention to messages where a user’s own nickname has been mentioned.
To tag someone you can simply type a part of their username until the username picker pops above the keyboard. Once the picker shows up, you can pick their username from the available username suggestion.
Alternatively, you can tap on someone’s username in the chat and they will be tagged in the message being composed.
To remove a tag/ untag someone, simply erase their nickname from your message.
